Neon Abyss 2 Bosses: Unlock Routes & Titan Gods List
Full Neon Abyss 2 bosses list with the verified unlock chain: Trojan to Talos, Apollo, Eris, Dark Eris, Hyperion, plus Zeus, Athena, Prometheus and Theia.
How do you unlock every boss in Neon Abyss 2? The confirmed chain is Trojan → Talos → Apollo → Eris → Dark Eris → Hyperion: each Titan god appears only after you have defeated the previous one at least once, and several later bosses also require an active Faith bar going into the fight. Separate from that chain, Athena unlocks after beating the old god Zeus, and Prometheus after beating Athena.
This guide lists every Neon Abyss 2 boss that appears in official announcements and community unlock guides, explains the verified unlock requirements step by step, and adds brief fight-context notes where the community has documented them. Bosses or conditions we could not verify are explicitly marked "To be confirmed" instead of guessed.

How Boss Unlocks Work in Neon Abyss 2
Neon Abyss 2 gates its boss roster behind a progression chain rather than showing every boss from the start. Defeating a boss at least one time unlocks the next one in the chain, and you usually need to start a new run for the newly unlocked fight to appear. Community guides also note that on floor 5 you may fight either Talos or Trojan in a given run, so do not be alarmed if both do not show up — which of the two appears appears to be random, per the community unlock guide.
The second gating mechanic is the Faith system. Certain boss routes only open if you enter the fight with a Faith bar that is still uncompleted. This is the single most commonly missed requirement for reaching the later bosses in the chain, so let's go through each boss in order.
The Main Chain: Trojan, Talos, Apollo, Eris, Dark Eris, Hyperion
Trojan — God of Hackers is the starting point of the Titan chain. No unlock conditions are documented for him; he is where the sequence begins.
Talos — God of AI requires you to defeat Trojan at least one time. After that, start a new run and you will be able to fight Talos. Remember the floor 5 quirk: some runs will pitch you against Talos or Trojan rather than both, so a "missing" boss is usually just RNG.
Apollo — God of EDM requires you to defeat Talos at least one time, then start a new run. Community guides flag Apollo's stage as a standout for its EDM soundtrack, but musically pleasing does not mean mechanically simple — prepare for a multi-phase fight.
Eris — Goddess of Psychedelia is where the Faith requirement kicks in. You must have defeated Apollo, and critically, you need an uncompleted Faith bar when going into the Apollo fight. The community guide recommends taking the Faith from the pedestal right before you fight Apollo, so the bar can still fill on the next floor. If your Faith is already completed when you beat Apollo, the portal after the fight sends you to the results screen instead of Eris's level. (One documented side benefit: deliberately not taking a Faith in Apollo's area is a good way to grind weapon-type and win-run tasks.)
Dark Eris — Goddess of Psychedelia has the most demanding setup of the chain. You need to have already defeated regular Eris, unlocked the Psychedelism Faith bar (available in the bar/HUB), and filled that Faith bar. Then, in a run, find the butterfly holding the Acid Token and pick it up before reaching the Eris floor — otherwise it will not count. The butterflies in that area can hurt you, so arrive with a decent amount of health. Note that fighting Dark Eris ends the run once she is defeated.
Hyperion — God of Entertainment requires having defeated Dark Eris at least one time. After starting a new run, you must fight the regular Eris to reach Hyperion — if you fight Dark Eris instead, the run ends at her defeat. As with Eris, make sure you have a Faith bar started when fighting Apollo so you can proceed to the next floor. One known technical issue to be aware of: a community bug report titled "Hyperion second phase causes a softlock" circulated on Steam, so if his second phase seems to stall, it may be the bug rather than your play.
Zeus, Athena, Prometheus and the Old Gods
Outside the main Titan chain sits a set of older gods: Zeus, Athena, Prometheus, Hermes, Aphrodite, and Dark Aphrodite are all names confirmed in community discussion. The verified unlock information for the top of this group is as follows: you need to beat the old god Zeus to access Athena, and you need to beat Athena to get to Prometheus. The chain is straightforward — it just runs parallel to the Trojan-to-Hyperion sequence rather than branching off it.
The rest of the old gods' access requirements are To be confirmed. Community players have openly asked how to reach Hermes, Aphrodite and Dark Aphrodite, and the community unlock guide's author acknowledged the gap, saying he would add Athena and Prometheus to his guide and confirm the rest through more runs. Until official documentation fills it in, we will not invent conditions for those fights.
Theia and the New 1.0 Bosses
Version 1.0, released October 8, 2026, added a brand-new Titan boss: Theia — God of Vanity. Official patch notes describe her as the Titan Group's Chief Brand Officer (CBO), "the absolute authority who defines beauty and trends," who turns aesthetics into shackles and blinds everyone with brilliant light. Community players were anticipating the fight ahead of launch, and it now sits at the top end of the boss content.
The 1.0 patch also added hidden boss encounters tied to treasure chests, with the official notes stating only that the conditions await discovery by players — so those triggers are To be confirmed. The fishing room received a day-night cycle in 1.0 and a hidden boss of its own, again with undisclosed trigger conditions. Finally, the patch fixed a set of boss-room bugs from Early Access, including doors to certain boss rooms not opening, Zeus not acting, some boss phases not progressing, and leftover attacks in Apollo's finale — one more reason to play on the current version when hunting these fights.
